ELIGIBILITY
Born outside the United States, or both parents born outside the United States.
Illinois resident.
Enrolled full-time at a public or private, accredited college or university in the U.S. for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
Open regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status - no Social Security number required.
Note: applicants born in Puerto Rico, or whose parents were both born in Puerto Rico, do not qualify, as Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens and not considered immigrants for this scholarship.

Finalists are selected and notified. A committee reviews every application and selects recipients based on hard work, perseverance, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community.
