The scholarship was started by Nimbe Juarez, a DREAMer, to help young people in similar circumstances. Tuition, school supplies and expenses during college are not small. Not being a citizen or having to be first generation adds an extra challenge when figuring out how to move forward. The Aim High, Dream Big Scholarship is a scholarship for immigrant students, or children of immigrants in Illinois, regardless of ethnicity or immigration status. The scholarship was founded in 2020.
